6.8. CAN Message TracerΒΆ

The CAN message tracer is an advanced tool for viewing the CAN bus traffic and for saving the CAN traces to a file for later use. The CAN traces are saved in Vector format. See figure CAN message tracer.

If you are not interested in all the CAN messages in the bus, it is possible to set a filter. For example in figure CAN message tracer with filter a filter and a mask are set so that only the SAE J1939 message with the PGN 65263 (0xFEEF) will pass the filter.
