5.2. Installing instructions for PCAN-USB drivers

Installing the driver is required only if this is a new installation of the WinEEM4s Service Tool. However, if you are upgrading from the WinEEM3s Service Tool 1.1.0.2 or an older version, it is recommended that the driver will also be updated. Especially if you are having difficulties with the software download to the ECU. The updated version of the WinEEM3s may be required as well in order for it to be fully compatible with the new driver version.

5.2.1. Installing the drivers

The installation package for PEAK PCAN-USB drivers is included in the installer of WinEEM4s Service Tool. This package also contains drivers and tools for several other models of PEAK PC-interfaces in addition to PCAN-USB. Run the installation package while your PCAN-USB adapter is disconnected from your PC. You can find the driver installation package PeakOemDrv.exe in [Installation directory]\USB_Drivers.

5.2.2. Installation directory

The WinEEM4s Service Tool’s default installation directory depends on your operating system. Typically on the 32 bit systems the installation directory is:

C:\Program Files\AGCO Power\WinEEM4s Service Tool

And on the 64 bit operating systems it is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\AGCO Power\WinEEM4s Service Tool
