6.6.7. Pressure delivery rate testΒΆ
This test is meant to test the high pressure pump. Symptoms can include reduced engine output at full load. The engine has to be running on idle and be warm when starting this test. The machine must not move. Fuel must be warm also. Test sequence gradually lowers the output from high pressure pump and tries to keep rail pressure constant with PCV. If the rail pressure drops too soon or PCV current rises too soon the test is failed. Results will show if they were OK.
Test duration is approximately one minute.
