6.6.6. PCV hysteresis test

This test is meant to detect a “sticky” Pressure Control Valve (PCV). Symptoms can be MIL light on or engine is in limp home mode. The engine has to be running on idle and be warm when starting this test. The machine must not move. Test sequence runs the engine at 1300 rpm and gradually increases and then decreases PCV current. At the same time rail pressure changes are monitored and they should change at the same time.

Test duration is approximately 2min 15s. Test time out is after 5min 50s.
