2.2.409. SPN 98, FMI 16, Oil level sensor: Oil level too HIGHΒΆ

Description

The measured oil level is too high. Drive vehicle to flat ground and check oil level from the dipstick.

Possible causes are:

  • The engine has too much oil.
  • The vehicle has been in a steep inclination for too long

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the fault lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then check the following solutions:

  • Check oil level from the dipstick and if there is over fill remove until level is normal. Note: Vehicle must stand in a flat surface when checking this action
