2.2.222. SPN 4359, FMI 3, Particle filter upstream pressure sensor: Electrical signal above normal, possible reason is open circuit.ΒΆ
Description
The WinEEM monitoring system has detect particle filter upstream pressure sensor electrical signal above normal (>4,65V)
Possible causes are:
- The particle filter upstream pressure sensor wiring is defective. Possible reason is open circuit.
- The particle filter upstream pressure sensor is defective.
- The particle filter upstream pressure sensor power supply is not correct.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the fault lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the particle filter upstream pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
- Make sure the 5 V power supply to the sensor is correct.
- Try operation with another particle filter upstream pressure sensor to see if sensor is defective.
