2.2.221. SPN 4359, FMI 13, Particle filter upstream pressure sensor: Plausibility error during afterrun.ΒΆ
Description
The particle filter upstream pressure should be close to zero because there is no exhaust massflow in ECU afterrun.
Possible causes are:
- The particle filter upstream sensor hoseline is defective.
- The particle filter upstream sensor is defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.
NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then obey the solutions that follow:
- Examine the particle filter upstream pressures sensor hoseline for possible mechanical failure.
- Examine the particle filter upstream pressure sensor installation and functionality.
- Try the operation with another particle filter upstream pressure sensor to see if the particle filter upstream pressure sensor is defective.
