2.2.162. SPN 3510, FMI 31, 5Vdc Supply: Voltage out of range in supply 2ΒΆ
Description
The EEM monitoring system has detected an internal failure in the 5 V sensor supply.
Possible causes are:
- The short circuit in the sensor which is a part of the sensor circuit 2.
- If any short circuits are not detected, the ECU may be defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the DPF differential pressure sensor and sensor wiring.
- Examine the exhaust back pressure sensor and sensor wiring.
- Examine the throttle 1 pedal sensor and sensor wiring.
- Examine the prefilter pressure sensor and the sensor wiring.
- Examine the filter pressure and temperature sensor and the sensor wiring.
- Examine the throttle valve position sensor and the sensor wiring in engine intake side.
- If no short circuit is found, the reason might be a defective ECU.
- Check the ECU operation with another ECU controller. If the system is functional and the fault is not active with the replacement ECU, then the original ECU is defective.
