2.2.147. SPN 3253, FMI 31, Particle filter difference pressure sensor: Hoseline monitoring failure, possible reason hoseline leakage.ΒΆ

Description

The hose line monitoring can detect dropped off, clogged or blocked hose connections of the diesel particle filter (DPF) difference pressure sensor system.

Possible causes are:

  • The DPF difference pressure sensor hoseline is removed.
  • The DPF difference pressure sensor hoseline is clogged or blocked.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.

Solution

First save the error log and then obey the solutions that follow:

  • Examine the DPF difference pressures sensor hoseline for possible mechanical failure.
  • Examine the DPF difference pressure sensor installation and functionality.
  • Try the operation with another DPF difference pressure sensor to see if the DPF difference pressure sensor is defective.
