2.2.146. SPN 3251, FMI 4, Particle filter difference pressure sensor: Voltage below normalΒΆ
Description
The WinEEM monitoring system has detect particle filter difference pressure sensor voltage below normal (<0,25V).
Possible causes are:
- The particle filter difference pressure sensor wiring is defective. (Shorted to ground)
- The particle filter difference pressure sensor power supply is not correct.
- The particle filter difference pressure sensor is defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the fault lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Check the DPF difference pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
- Check the 5 V power supply to the sensor.
- Check operation with another DPF difference pressure sensor to see if sensor is defective.
See Diesel particulate filter (DPF) difference pressure sensor sensor for reference.
