2.2.69. SPN 168, FMI 16, Battery voltage: Powerstages could be disabled due to high Battery voltage.ΒΆ

Description

The powerstages could be disabled when the battery voltage rises too high.

For 12V system the fault code limit is >16,5V For 24V system the fault code limit is >32V

Possible causes are:

  • The generator is not working properly.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. Engine functions that depend on powerstages are disabled.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Verify and measure that the supply voltage is correct.
  • Make sure the generator is working correctly and measure that the charging voltage is correct. (see Engine ECU power supply)
