2.2.68. SPN 168, FMI 1, Battery voltage: Voltage BELOW NORMAL (<7,8V).ΒΆ

Description

The EEM4 monitoring system has detected a too low battery voltage. Possible reason is defective generator.

  • The fault code limit for the engine ECU is 7,8V

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Verify and measure that the supply voltage is correct.
  • Make sure the generator is working correctly and measure that the charging voltage is correct. (see Engine ECU power supply)
