Description

The measured intake manifold 1 temperature sensor signal is above the normal operating range.

Possible causes are:

  • The intake manifold 1 air temperature sensor wiring is defective.
  • The intake manifold 1 air temperature sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power is reduced (Degradation Level 1). The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the intake manifold 1 air temperature sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Try the operation with another intake manifold 1 air temperature sensor to see if the sensor is defective.
