6.6.2. Cylinder cut-out test

The Cylinder cut-out test page provides the means to activate the Cylinder cut-out test. Cylinder cut-out test provides the capability to exclude one specific cylinder from firing while the engine is running to determine a misfiring cylinder. Cylinder cut-out might be necessary if no electrical fault is detectable, but the engine does not perform as expected on one cylinder, e.g. due to nozzle hydraulic malfunctions.
