2.2.362. SPN 522471, FMI 31, EAT Monitoring: Possible exhaust line differential pressure sensor interchangeΒΆ

Description

The exhaust line differential and back pressure sensors may be cross-connected.

Possible causes are:

  • The exhaust line differential and back pressure sensors are cross-connected (connectors).
  • The exhaust line differential and back pressure sensors are cross-connected (hosing).
  • One of the exhaust line pressure sensors is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine that the exhaust line pressure sensors are connected correctly.
  • Examine the exhaust line back pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Examine the exhaust line differential pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Examine that each of the exhaust line pressure sensors are effective. Change defective sensors to new sensors.
