2.2.276. SPN 51, FMI 5, Throttle valve 1: Open load.ΒΆ

Description

The EEM4 monitoring system has detected an open load at throttle valve 1 actuator.

Possible causes are:

  • The throttle valve 1 is disconnected.
  • The throttle valve 1 is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the throttle valve 1 actuator installation and make sure that the electric connector is connected.
  • Examine the throttle valve 1 wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Try operation with another throttle valve actuator to see if the throttle valve actuator is defective.
