2.2.275. SPN 51, FMI 3, Throttle valve 1: Voltage Below Normal.ΒΆ

Description

The measured throttle valve 1 actuator sensor voltage is below the normal operating range.

Possible causes are:

  • The sensor wiring is defective.
  • throttle valve 1 sensor power supply is not correct.
  • The sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power is reduced (Degradation Level 1). The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the throttle valve 1 actuator wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Make sure the 5 V power supply to the sensor is correct.
  • Try the operation with another throttle valve actuator to see if the actuator is defective.
