2.2.219. SPN 4359, FMI 0, Particle filter upstream pressure sensor: Pressure above normalΒΆ
Description
The WinEEM monitoring system has detect particle filter upstream pressure above normal.
Possible causes are:
- The particle filter upstream pressure sensor is defective. Sensor is measuring too high value.
- The particle filter upstream pressure sensor wiring is defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the fault lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the particle filter upstream pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation)
- Make sure that the 5 V power supply to the sensor is correct.
- Try operation with another particle filter upstream pressure sensor to see if sensor is defective.
