2.2.188. SPN 4332, FMI 1, SCR system: DEF pressure build up failureΒΆ
Description
The EEM monitoring system has detected an SCR system ERROR. The SCR system cannot be pressurized.
Possible causes are:
- The DEF supply module pressure connector is blocked.
- The DEF supply module pressure hose is blocked.
- The DEF dosing module is blocked.
- The DEF supply module inlet connector pre-filter is blocked.
- The DEF supply module inlet hose is blocked.
- The filter in the DEF tank sensor is blocked.
- A possible leakage in the system.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.
NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time which is defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the pressure line visually to detect any mechanical failure eg. if the hose is flattened or frozen.
- Remove the DEF dosing valve and check the nozzle of the dosing valve to see the possible blockage.
- Examine the DEF supply module connectors to see the possible blockage.
- Examine the inlet line visually to detect any mechanical failure eg. if the hose is flattened or frozen.
- Change the DEF tank suction filter.
- Check the used reducing agent for contamination and change it if necessary.
