2.2.143. SPN 3251, FMI 0, Particle filter difference pressure sensor: Pressure value too HIGHΒΆ
Description
The particle filter difference pressure sensor has detected too high pressure during after run.
Possible causes are:
- The DPF pressure pipes to the difference pressure sensor have clogged
- The DPF difference pressure sensor is defective
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the fault lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. NOTE: The present fault is classified as an emission related fault. Engine power is reduced after a certain time defined by an authority.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Check the DPF difference pressure sensor pressure pipes for possible damage
- Check the DPF difference pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
- Check operation with another DPF difference pressure sensor to see if sensor is defective
See Diesel particulate filter (DPF) difference pressure sensor sensor for reference.
