The air mass sensor reading is not in a correct range.

Possible causes are:

  • Leakage between the sensor and the venturi.
  • The sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Check the air mass sensor installation, verify that two 0-rings are present between the sensor and tube.
  • Check the operation with another air mass sensor to see if the sensor is defective.
