Description

The EEM monitoring system has detected a failure at the ECU internal temperature sensor. A possible reason for this is an ECU hardware defect.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. The engine functions that depend on the ECU temperature are not active.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Test the operation with another ECU. If the system is functional and the fault is not active with the replacement ECU, then the original ECU is defective.
