2.2.9. SPN 102, FMI 19, Boost pressure sensor: Pressure out of range.ΒΆ

Description

The EEM monitoring system has detected that the boost pressure sensor value is implausible.

Possible causes are:

  • The sensor wiring contact is loose.
  • The sensor wiring is defective.
  • The sensor is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power is reduced (Degradation Level 3). The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the boost pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Try the operation with another boost pressure sensor to see if the sensor is defective.
