2.2.8. SPN 102, FMI 14, Boost pressure sensor: Pressure signal is not plausible.ΒΆ
Description
The EEM monitoring system has detected that the intake 1 pressure sensor value is different from the environment pressure when the engine is not turning.
Possible causes are:
- The boost pressure sensor wiring contact is loose.
- The boost pressure sensor wiring is defective.
- The boost pressure sensor is defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power is reduced (Degradation Level 2). The CAN message indicates an active fault.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the boost pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
- Try the operation with another boost pressure sensor to see if the sensor is defective.
See Boost pressure and temperature sensor for reference.
