4.6. ECU Replacement Procedure

NOTE 1

Open the vehicle main switch or disconnect the battery terminals before connecting or disconnecting the ECU vehicle connector (the large, the 94-pin or the 96-pin connector on the ECU). If the ECU power supply lines are live during engagement or disengagement of the connector, sparking may damage the connector pins.

NOTE 2

If EEM4 controller from another tractor is used, there will be an engine S/N mismatch with the engine plate, and the correct software must be updated to the controller. After the software update, the ECU needs to be activated with an activation code requested from AGCO Power Inc. Otherwise the fault code SPN 520230, FMI 31, Engine specification mismatch will be active.
