3.2.331. SPN 520312, FMI 31, Rail Pressure control: Maximum time in limp home state is exceeded

Description

The EEM4 system has detected a rail pressure fault and the system is in limp home mode. If the maximum allowed limp home mode time is exceeded, then an error will be displayed.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:

• Check and repair fault codes related to rail pressure control or fuel high pressure components
• Fault code can be cleared by WinEEM4 service tool
