3.2.268. SPN 520200, FMI 16, Powerstages could be disabled due to high battery voltageΒΆ

Description

The powerstages could be disabled when the battery voltage rises too high (>17V).

Possible causes are:

  • The generator is not working properly.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates active fault. Engine functions that depend on powerstages are disabled.

Solution

First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:

  • Check the working of the generator, if the charging voltage is correct.
  • Check the battery/ batteries voltage and condition. (see Engine ECU power supply)
