Description

The EEM monitoring system has detected over temperature of device driver of pressure control valve (PCV).

Possible causes are:

  • The pressure control valve wiring is defective.
  • The pressure control valve is defective

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault. The device driver functionalities could be disabled.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the pressure control valve wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Test the operation with another pressure control valve to see if the PCV is defective.
