2.2.325. SPN 520354, FMI 3, Pressure Control Valve: Low side short circuit to HIGH SOURCEΒΆ

Description

The EEM monitoring system has detected a short circuit on the pressure control valve low side.

Possible causes are:

  • The solenoid valve wiring is defective. (Shorted to high source.)
  • The solenoid valve is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the pressure control valve wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
  • Test the operation with another pressure control valve to see if valve is defective.
