2.2.289. SPN 520216, FMI 31, ECU monitoring: Microcontroller Monitoring / SPI communication error

Description

The ECU monitoring system has detected a safety related error in injector powerstage communication. The fault could occur due to wrong ECU settings in the software or a real problem in the ECU hardware.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

• Reprogram the ECU.
• In case of repetitive faults, the The ECU shall be replaced.
