2.2.273. SPN 51, FMI 18, Throttle valve 1: Short circuit to ground 2.ΒΆ

Description

The EEM4 monitoring system has detected a short circuit to ground at throttle valve 1 actuator. Effected ECU pin is 2.28.

Possible causes are:

  • The throttle valve 1 wiring is defective.
  • The throttle valve 1 is defective.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:

  • Examine the throttle valve 1 actuator installation and make sure that the electric connector is connected.
  • Examine the throttle valve 1 wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation). Defective connector pin is 2.28.
  • Try operation with another throttle valve actuator to see if the throttle valve actuator is defective.
