2.2.24. SPN 109, FMI 3, Coolant pressure sensor voltage above normal or open circuitΒΆ
Description
The measured coolant pressure sensor voltage signal is above the normal operating range.
Possible causes are:
- The coolant pressure sensor wiring is defective. (Shorted to high source or an open circuit.)
- The coolant pressure sensor is defective.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates active fault.
Solution
First save the error log and then do the procedure that follows:
- Examine the coolant pressure sensor wiring, the connectors and the contact surfaces of the connector pins (possible oxidation).
- Try operation with another coolant pressure sensor to see if the sensor is defective.
See Coolant pressure sensor for reference.
