2.2.11. SPN 105, FMI 16, Intake air temperature sensor: ABOVE NORMAL (90°C)

Description

The measured intake manifold temperature rises above the warning limit (90°C). The temperature sensor is integrated into the boost pressure sensor. Possible causes for the high temperature indication are:

• The charge air cooling system is not working properly.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power is reduced (Degradation Level 1). The CAN message indicates an active fault.

Solution

Examine the cause for the high intake manifold temperature indication:

• Examine the condition of the air-cooling system (cleanliness, pressure tightness, fan operation, etc.).
