Description

The EEM4 monitoring system has detected an internal SPI-communication error in the EDC17CV41+ controller. The fault is related to the control of the MOSFETs in different highside and lowside combinations. The error could occur due to wrong ECU settings in the software, or a problem in the ECU hardware.

Reaction in EEM

The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates active fault.

Solution

First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:

  • The ECU shall be reprogrammed or replaced.
