Description
The fault is related to the monitoring concept of the redundant shut off paths:
This is a very low level safety function in the ECU hardware made to ensure that the ECU can control the fuel injectors immediately. The function is executed at the beginning of each driving cycle. The error could occur due to wrong ECU settings in the software, or a real problem in the ECU hardware.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. The CAN message indicates active fault.
Solution
First save the error log and then erase it. Restart the ECU after erasing the error log. If the fault occurs again during the next driving cycle, check the following paths:
- The ECU shall be reprogrammed or replaced.
