3.2.17. SPN 105, FMI 16, Intake 1 air temp. ABOVE NORMAL (90°C)¶
Description
The measured intake manifold temperature rises above the warning limit (90°C). The temperature sensor is integrated into the boost pressure sensor. Possible causes for the high temperature indication are:
- The charge air cooling system is not working properly.
Reaction in EEM
The FC is stored and the warning lamp is activated. Engine power will be reduced (Degradation Level 1). The CAN message indicates active fault.
Solution
Find the cause for the high intake manifold temperature indication:
- Check the condition of the air-cooling system (cleanliness, pressure tightness, fan operation, etc.).
